Mrs. Emma Allen Dies At Son's Home
Mrs. Emma E. Allen, 81, died at 8 o'clock this morning at the home of a son, Delmar Allen, in Huntington county. She had been ill six weeks and seriously ill 10 days. Death was attributed to complications.
The decedent was born March 26, 1870 in Jackson township, Wells county to Peter and Martha J. Clampitt Minnich. Her marriage to Charles Allen took place March 3, 1888. He died June 6, 1933[sic - 1935]. Mrs. Allen had been a member of the Majenica Methodist church since 1909 and a resident of Huntington county 53 years.
Surviving are the son, Delmar, of Huntington route 5; two grandchildren, Mrs. Harold Babcock, of Warren route 3 and George Allen, of Huntington route 5; two brothers, Charles E. Minnich, of Denver, Colo., and Perry O. Minnich, of Glendale, Calif., and seven great-grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers are deceased.
The body was removed to the H. Brown & Son funeral home in Warren where friends may call.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the funeral home with Rev. J. Temple Wood, of Mt. Etna officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery.
