Joseph E. Lesovsky, son of Emanuel and Katherine Richecky Lesovsky was born near Wayne, March 11, 1889 and died April 29, at Republic County hospital, Belleville, at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 17 days.
He received his education at the Farmington School, and was united in marriage to Emma Fisher, on January 11, 1910. To this union one daughter was born.
He lived most of his life in the Cuba community. He farmed north of Cuba for many years. He retired in 1950 and moved to Cuba. He was employed at the Cuba Recreation Center after moving to Cuba. He was baptized at early age in the Presbyterian church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Emma of the home, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Shulda of Cuba, one brother, Charles Lesovsky, Cuba; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Novak and Mrs. Rosie Fisher, both of Belleville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. May 1, at the United Presbyterian church of Cuba, conducted by the Reverend Tom Ballard.
Interment was made in National Bohemian cemetery.
