After a long battle with cancer, Dianne McGovern peacefully went to be with our Lord on August 9, 2012.
She leaves her mother, sister and brother-in-law, two nephews and their wives and five great-nieces and nephews. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1948. She graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., and earned her Master's degree from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. She was a legal administrator for Popham Law Firm in Kansas City for many years, worked for Bridging the Gap Inc., for two years and most recently worked as business manager for Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Kansas City, where she also attended. She was a faithful member of the Benedictine Oblates of Mt. St. Scholastica in Atchison, Kan.
She loved her Lord, she loved her family, she loved her friends, she loved her church, and she loved to travel the world. She was dearly loved. . . . .and will be missed until we meet again.
Services will be Tuesday, Aug. 14, with visitation at 10 a.m. and Mass following
at 11 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 4232 Mercier, Kansas City, MO
64111. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church would be greatly appreciated.
