Enlisted on 6/1/1862 at Lancaster Court House, VA., he was mustered into "F" Co. VA 47th Infantry as a Private.
Reenlisted 6/1862 and due Reenlistment Bounty.
Sick in camp 6/1862.
Present on all Rolls thru 12/31/1862.
Issued clothing 2/19/1863.
Issued clothing 3/23/1863.
Issued clothing 5/13/1863.
Issued clothing 4/7/1864.
Gunshot in neck, wounded spinal column 5/5/1864 Battle of The Wilderness, VA.; hospitalized Jackson Hospital, Richmond, VA; died there.
