Grace Mae Clement, daughter of George Wesley and Grace Mae Pyle Fetters, was born January 30, 1931, in Marshall, Oklahoma. She departed this life Friday, February 21, 2003, in her home, near Conway, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, and twenty-one days.
On October 1, 1950, she was united in marriage to James Robert Clement, and to this union a daughter and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Betty Marie Marshall, and an infant.
Grace is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Robert, of the home; a daughter, Sandra Schallenberg, of Olathe, Kansas; two sons, Wendell Clement, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Doyle Clement, of Conway, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Ross, Kendra, Kourtney, Ryan, Rachel, Lisa, Austin, and Brett; one niece; two nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Oklahoma and was raised in Fort Scott, Kansas. She attended high school at Faith Bible Academy, near Camdenton, and completed her senior year at Lebanon High School. After she and Robert were married, they made their home on their farm, near Conway, and lovingly raised their children. Besides being a devoted homemaker to her family, Grace worked for Nickerson Farms, near Phillipsburg, for several years, and later retired from the Durham Company, in Lebanon, after more than twenty years of service.
Grace had made her profession of faith in Christ as a child, and attended Bear Thicket United Methodist Church.
She loved singing hymns and solos at churches. She also enjoyed the outdoors where she loved to fish and garden. She particularly liked setting out trees. Her family was very important to her and she centered her life around them. Her eight grandchildren were especially dear to her heart.
Grace was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Services will be held February 24, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the Holman-Howe Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bear Thicket Cemetery. Visitation will be held February 23, 2003 from 7-8:30p.m. in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon, Missouri.
