Son of L. Alexander(it appears to either be Lawton, Linton or something near that) and Cynthia Ferguson, John Huston Alexander was born on June 25, 1850 in Missouri. John H. Alexander married Frances ?and had 4 children:

1.Lillie Maude Alexander July 8 1883 married Virgil Edward Marrs, and died June 12 1943

2.Oscar James Alexander Jan 21 1886 married Mabel Irene Marrs

3.Leo Alexander 1892 married Minnie B. ?

4.Arthur J Alexander 1894 married Pearl ?

John Huston Alexander, along with his daughter-in-law Mabel Irene Marrs Alexander and her two sons, Marrs Walter Alexander and James Oscar Alexander died in a tornado that hit Bates County, Missouri on June 15, 1912. John H. Alexander died the next day. A total of 25 died from that event. (bio by: Sarah Capps)
