He was born January 13, 1923 in Texas County Oklahoam, the son of Wilbert and Bertha (Gaede) Spady.
Leonard attended Lemon Country School in Texas County, OK. He enlisted in the Army during WWII and in Calcutta, India as a Lineman in the field artillery.
He was a mechanic for years then worked for Able Dirt Construction then the Seard County Landfill for 17 years. He was a Crane Operator for Liberal Iron & Metal for 17 years retiring in 1992. He was a also lifetime member of the VFW Lane Day Post #316
He married Marjoria Gordon June 1, 1946 at Liberal, KS. She Survives.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by 1 Brother - Donald Spady of Mannassas, VA., 3 Grandsons and 6 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son Dwayne Henry Spady ,1 Brother, 5 Sisters and his parents.
