Sitka resident Deborah L. Pugh Adams died Nov. 25, 1999, after a long battle with cancer at Providence Alaska Medical Center. She was 48. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. today at South Anchorage Assembly of God, 12101 Brayton Drive. The Rev. Rich Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Adams was born Aug. 26, 1951, in Reno, Nev., where she was raised and where she graduated from Wooster High School. In 1985, she moved from Nevada to Anchorage, where she lived until 1999. While in Anchorage, she owned and operated a child-care business. She had also worked at Angelus Memorial Park Cemetery and First National Bank. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Assemblies of God Church. Her family said, ''Debbie loved the Lord, her family, friends and laughter.''

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Adams , daughter, Brandalyn K. Adams , son, Seth T. Adams , all of Sitka; father, Blaine E. Pugh of Sparks, Nev.; brothers, Kenneth B. Pugh and James L. Pugh of Reno; and sisters-in-law, Bonnie K. Pugh of Reno and Jean K. Adams of Anchorage. Her family added that she referred to her sister-in-law, Jean Adams , as her ''sister-in-life.'' In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deborah Adams Children's Educational Fund c/o Ken Adams , 3804 Wilson St., Anchorage 99503. Arrangements by Anchorage Funeral Home.
