Heart Attack Is Fatal Friday For Gerald G. Beutler
Funeral services for Gerald G. Beutler, prominent farmer and school board member at Alfalfa, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Alfalfa Methodist church. He was a victim of a heart attack Friday morning at Hettinger, N. Dakota
His body was discovered in the trailer house in which he lived while making the wheat harvest with a crew of three men. He apparently died in his sleep.
Beutler, 47, had been a member of the Alfalfa school board since 1960 and was president of the board at the time of his death. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Odd Fellow Lodge at Alfalfa.
Funeral services were directed by Rev. Leslie Becker, pastor of the Alfalfa Baptist church, with Rev. Gary Hawkins, pastor of the Methodist church at Alfalfa, assisting.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Mrs. Bill Chain, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Jerry Holsted, Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Bill Gilley, Foss, Okla.; a son, Leslie of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mrs Edna Brewer, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Meno Beutler, Norco, Calif., and Clarence Beutler, Carnegie; and five grandchildren, and an aunt, Mrs. P.N Holbrook.
