Donald Lee Bayles passed away on May 12, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 7, 1939, in St. Paul to Marion and Minnie Broughton Bayles.

He was retired from the Fayetteville Police Department and also spent time with the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie of the home. Other survivors include many very special nephews and nieces and their families, brothers and sisters-in-law and many great-nephews and great-nieces as well as cousins too numerous to name. All were precious to him.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, three brothers, Marion Bayles II, Irvin Bayles and James Bayles and one sister, Joyce Bayles Ogden.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today, May 15 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, www.mooresfuneralchapel.com.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Son's Chapel. Chaplain Audie Long will officiate.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Ogden, Levon Ogden III, Ryan Bayles, Shaun Bayles, Christopher Bayles and Don Kilgore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Son's Chapel Cemetery, c/o Sandy Minter, 4912 E. Sandi Drive, Fayetteville, 72703.
