Bardstown - Mary Martha Wimsett Beam, 84, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday, St. Catherine Church, New Haven. Visitation: 9 a.m. until service at William R. Rust Funeral Home.

Mary Martha Wimsett Beam, 84, Bardstown, formerly of New Haven, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at the home of her daughter in Bardstown. She was born April 8, 1923, in New Haven. She was retired Jim Beam Distillers in Clermont after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, New Haven, and a member of St. Catherine Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Michael Joseph "Mike" Beam; seven brothers, J.D. Wimsett, Raffo Wimsett, Joe Wimsett, Marvin Wimsett, Ray Wimsett, Junior Wimsett, Eddie Wimsett; and a sister, Louise Wimsett. Survivors include a son, Micky Beam, Lexington; two daughters, Mary Louise Fletcher, Bardstown, and "Jo" Russell, Fort Lauderdale; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo Wimsett and Jack Wimsett, both of New Haven; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, New Haven, with burial in St. Catherine Catholic Church Cemetery, New Haven. The Rev. Scott Wimsett will officiate. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the mass of the Air or to Hospice of Nelson County. William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mass of Christian burial for Mary Martha Wimsett Beam, 84, Bardstown, was 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at St. Catherine Catholic Church, New Haven, with burial in St. Catherine Catholic Church Cemetery, New Haven. The Rev. Scott Wimsett officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews, Michael Beam, Kyle Russell, Charlie Russell, Freddy Beam, Billy Wimsett, Raffo Wimsett Jr., Harold Wimsett and Maynard Wimsett. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Masses of The Air of Nelson County. William R. Rust Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
