Obituary:

On July 3rd, 2009 a gentle and sweet soul completed her journey to a well deserved place in heaven. Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she fulfilled these roles and more with humor, resolve, honor, honesty, integrity and dignity. Her smile would light any room and is surely now adding to heaven's brilliance. Children were her never ending joy. She loved, protected and nurtured with an unbelievable inner strength and core determination. Faith, generosity, laughter and love were her endless gifts to family and friends. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her. Born Jean Shreve on September 8, 1927, she married the love of her life, LeRoy Brandimore, on January 25, 1946 following his return from serving his country in WWII. A Saginaw resident all of her life, she raised a loving family, had a long career with Michigan Bell Telephone and added countless wonderful memories to the lives of those around her. She was predeceased by her husband in 2003 and the grief of his passing never seemed to lift from her shoulders. She was also predeceased by her Mother and Father, Mary and Vernon Shreve, her father and mother-in-law, Edward and Isabelle Brandimore, her brother Vernon Shreve, and her aunt Josephine Groom. Surviving are her three beloved aunts, Florence (Dan ) Alever, Betty (John) Wendling and Shirley Fisher, brothers and sisters in laws, MaryEllen Shreve, Jim (Joan) Brandimore, Don (Dee) Brandimore, William (Jane) Brandimore, Patricia Mocny and Gerald Brandimore, her three sons and daughters in law, David and Beth Brandimore, Thomas and Deborah Brandimore and Dale and Bridget Brandimore, along with grandchildren, Scott (Robin) Brandimore, Lisa (Ron) Martin, Jennie Prior, Katie (Keith) Pretzer, Karen Brandimore, Kimberly (Jon) Brandimore Horton, Christopher Brandimore, Darcy (Jeff) Brock, Ryan Brandimore and great grandchildren; Joshua, Adam, Samantha, Alex, Jason, Justin, Dayton, Easton, Amanda, Amber, Brock, Hayden and Parker, along with many dear nieces and nephews. Jean Shreve Brandimore was a woman who possessed a great depth of compassion, faith in the Lord and deep belief in the good of mankind. These qualities along with many others made her unique, truly loved and irreplaceable. She will be forever in the hearts and souls of the family she helped build.
