John was one of seven living siblings: Edna Mae, Harry H., Mary Florence, Matilda D., Viola Bessie, Hazel E.
John was married to Lenora Grace McConnell(1903-1939). They had one son together, John Ottto. They made their home in Apollo, Pennsylvania.
John died August 16, 1937 at home in Oklahoma Borough after a two year illness. He was buried with full military honors and is laid to rest along side his wife Grace in
