Patricia Ann Matusek
Birth: Dec. 8, 1945
Chicago
Cook County
Illinois, USA
Death: Jul. 14, 1966
Chicago
Cook County
Illinois, USA

Murder Victim. The daughter of Joseph and Bessie Matusek, she had one sister. Known to her family and friends as Pat, she was a gentle and friendly young woman. Patricia was excited to move forward in her life, she was engaged to be married and after her August graduation from South Chicago hospital, where she was a Senior Student Nurse, was to start a new journey with Children's Memorial hospital. She had a love of all children and a respect for everyone. Her father appeared at everyone of Speck`s parole hearings, his presence came to symbolize that the public would keep the killer in prison. Joseph bitterly opposed parole for Speck even after Joseph became too ill to walk and had to be wheeled into the parole board hearing room, he still made his presence known. Patricia was found strangled in the bathroom, the only victim of the eight that was struck in the stomach hard enough to rupture her liver. She was 20 years old. (bio by: Memorial Flower)
