Larry Williams, 67, of Chattanooga, TN passed from this life suddenly at his home on Saturday, April 10, 2010.

He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Margaret, for almost 50 years. He retired from DuPont after 36 years, was a member of the Alhambra Shrine Temple, where for several years he was a member of their Bus Unit and also in the Provost Unit. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army National Guard. In his spare time he was an auxiliary police officer for approximately 20 years and also worked for the Sheriff's Department. Larry was also a locksmith, a Little League umpire and ham radio operator. He was a devoted father to his three children and was always there if any of them needed him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Lois Moore Williams.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret "Pat" Williams; father, Emmitt Williams, Niota, TN; son, Richard Williams, Chattanooga, TN; daughters: Stacey (Carl) Durham, Chattanooga, TN, and Becky (Michael) Poole, Rossville, GA; three brothers, Sidney Williams, Harrison, TN, the Rev. Doyle Williams, Camden and Joel Williams, Hixson, TN; five grandsons; one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel with the Rev. Doyle Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and noon-1 p.m. Tuesday.
