Floyd L. Nichols, 56 years old, 828 Empire avenue, was pronounced dead on arrival about 8:15 o'clock Wednesday night at Freeman hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving his auto.

He was born October 30, 1910, at Muldrow, Okla., and had lived in Joplin for most of his life. Mr. Nichols was foreman at the Miner's Ice Plant in Joplin.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margie Nichols; three sons, Richard L. Nichols, Floyd Nichols, Jr., and Dennis R. Nichols, all of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Deloris Hunt, of the Oak Grove Community; a half sister, Mrs. Juanita Ball (Baugh), Joplin; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be announced by the Mason chapel.

Funeral services for Floyd L. Robert Nance, Bill Hunter, Champ Morris, Roger Hankins, John Davis and Donnie Caldwell will serve as pallbearers.
