The following biography was written by his daughter, Marge (member 46895564):

My Dear Daddy

U.S. Army WW II

My Dad was a hard working man. If Daddy had a lot of dreams, I never heard him speak of them. A very practical man, very honest and forward with all he did. He never seemed to care about a lot of money. He seemed to center everything around my Mother first and then his children and grandchildren. He loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. Listening to Mother and him sing always made me want to cry. When Daddy got excited or upset his voice boomed. Otherwise he was a quiet man. Momma used to say, "Bud has a heart as big as the whole outdoors, and a mouth to match when he is mad." (Smile)

I told Dad one time, "Now that I'm grown, I realize how much I owe you." He said, "The only thing you owe me is to take care of your children in the same way. That will pay me back." He was a wonderful Father and I miss him so much. I'll see you in Heaven someday, Daddy.
