Alfred Herman "Fritz" Stallbaumer, 80, of Seneca, died December 3, 1986 at Crestview Nursing Home. He had leukemia and had been ill for three years. He had been a resident at the nursing home since November 28.
He was born April 9, 1906, on a farm southwest of St. Benedict, the son of George and Elizabeth Engelken Stallbaumer. Fritz attended St. Mary's School and grew up in the St. Benedict community. He farmed and raised livestock while living on the family homestead. With his sister, Minnie, he helped care for his parents for several years. After Minnie died he moved into Seneca in September, 1984.
Fritz was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, and a former member of St. Mary's Church in St. Benedict.
Survivors are three brothers, Cyril Stallbaumer, Raymond Stallbaumer and Emmett Stallbaumer, Seneca, KS; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Nolte, Atchison, KS; and Mrs. Frank (Rita) Broxterman, Baileyville, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Cletus, Hubert and Adrian and two sisters, Cora Hammes and Minnie Haug.
Funeral services were held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Burial was at St. Mary's cemetery, St. Benedict, KS.
