Ralston O. Berrier, 76, of Claypool, Indiana, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 1999 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Indiana.
He was born November 21, 1922 in Valparaiso, the son of Arthur J. and Lilla Irene (Duncan) Berrier. 
He was born and raised in Valparaiso and retired in 1985 from A.J. Berrier Company, then moved to Claypool.
He was a member of the US Army, 792 AAA-AW at the Battle of the Bulge, a Life Member of the American Legion Post 94, VFW Post 988, the Eagles, the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #500 and the Moose Lodge and AmVets in Marion.
On October 29, 1996 in Valparaiso, he married Janice Wilson who survives in Claypool.
His parents and a brother, Arthur Berrier preceded him in death.
Other survivors are a sister, Lucille Verplank of Valparaiso; a son, James Berrier of New Paris, Ohio; a daughter, Roxanne; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren, Douglas K. (Carole) Wilson and Mark R. (Debbie) Wilson of Valparaiso, Jeffrey L. (Lindy) Wilson of Chesterton and Bonne (Mark) Goodrich of Hebron; nine step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 3, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, with burial in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 2, 1999 4 to 8 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home.
