Warren F. Carbaugh, 84, died Sunday Mar. 24, at Hanover Hall.
He was born Oct. 26, 1911 in New Oxford, and was the son of the late William U. and Salome Rutters Carbaugh. He predeceased by his wife Loretta Mattingly Carbaugh in 1979.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Hanover, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Littlestown Aerie 2262.
For 40 years he owned and operated a Gulf, and later a Texaco Service Station on Main Street, McSherrystown.
He is survived by three sons, Francis L., of Frederick Md., Warren E. of McSherrystown and Philip B. of Forrestville Md.; and two daughters, Dolores H. Sneeringer and Geneva A. Epley, both of Hanover. 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three brothers, George of Hanover, Ralph and Joseph both of California, four sisters, Josephine Weirman and Mary Ann Stremmel, both of Hanover, Sister Geneva Marie, S.S.J. of New Jersey, and Patricia Bataha of Hanover.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at St. Vincents Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Shoam officiating. Internment will be in St. Vincents Cemetery.
