Chad C. Eddinger, 49, of Mountain Top, formerly of Nescopeck, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. He was a COVID-19 warrior.

Born in Berwick on Jan. 2, 1971, he was the son of Mary Ellen (Chaban) Ravis and husband, Samuel, of Nescopeck and the late Jeb L. Eddinger. He graduated from Berwick Area High School in 1989 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for four years and was deployed during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In 1996, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for over eight years where he served several tours overseas. After an honorable discharge, Chad attended Bloomsburg University where he received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. He worked at 97.9X radio where he embraced his love for music and had the opportunity to meet many music stars. Most recently he was employed at the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Chad was a member of various military associations. He was an avid reader, liked hunting and was a gun collector. He was fond of animals and was charitable to the SPCA. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews with whom he spent many hours playing video games and having Nerf gun wars. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around to make people laugh.
