Master Sgt. U.S. Army, {RA1722918}, Vietnam War-MSgt. Dian was killed in action by small arms fire on 4-23-1968 while serving as an Infantryman with Co. C of the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. MSgt. Dian started his tour of Vietnam on 3-23-1966.

MSgt. Dian is the son of Mrs. Mary A. Dian of 3110 Wyoming Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, and he enlisted with the Army in November of 1947.

Awards: Silver Star Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantry Badge with Star, Jump Wings, Vietnam Service Medal with Four Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with Two Service Stars, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal, 5th award.
