Folk Figure. Mr. Marconnot was a bachelor truck farmer from a St. Louis French family. As per instructions in his will, he was embalmed in the same manner as King Tut, then dressed in a tuxedo & laid to rest in a granite mausoleum with a plate glass door to allow proper viewing of his body. Fearing vandalism, the Catholic Archdiocese eventually asked the family to replace the glass door with a plain stainless steel door. The body was restored in 2002.
