In Memoriam Peter Stokes M.D. Bron Jany. 7, 1822 Died May 16, 1904 He was an active practitioner for 56 years and was one of the signers of the famous secession convention
Note: Served as a surgeon in the 14th Battalion SC Cavalry in the Civil War. Discharged from Confederate service on 11 Apr 1862, on petition of family and friends for his return to his medical practice. His wife was the former Eliza Ann WILLIAMS.
