(Obituary - Dollie Blackburn)
Funeral services for Dollie Blackburn, 77, will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday in the Cushing Church of the First Born 1323 E. Elm. The officiants will be Harold Case and Joe Cranke, pastors of the Cushing Church. Interment will be conducted in the Parkland Cemetery under the direction of the Fairley-Hackler Funeral Home. A native of Kansas, Mrs. Blackburn was born Sept. 7, 1898 at Neosho Falls to Abraham and Gertrude Brown. She married Charles William Blackburn on Oct. 7, 1914 at Independence, KS.; they lived at Coffeyville until they came to Cushing in 1917. Blackburn preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1973. Mrs. Blackburn had been in failing health for the past four months and died at her home, 1503 E. Maple, at 2:30 A.M. Thursday. She was a member of the Church of the First Born for 60 years. Those who survive include a son, Harley Blackburn, Cushing; six daughters: Frances (Mrs. Robert) Baker of Wewoka, OK; Dorothy (Mrs. Roy) Patton of Yazoo City, MS; Edith (Mrs. John) Kyser of Sapulpa; Thelma (Mrs. Zora) Patton, Cushing; Freda (Mrs. Delbert) Reed of Huston, TX; and Eva (Mrs. Lynn) House of La Harbra, CA; a sister: Edna (Mrs. Edgar) Dazey of Anderson, MO; 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
