MRS. JAMES W. GRANT
Mrs. Sara Grant, 456 Stambaugh Ave., died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday in Sharon General Hospital, where she had been a patient since Nov. 26.
Mrs. Grant, who was 79, had been ill for an extended period of time.
Her husband, James W. Grant, died in 1958.
She was a daughter of John and Sara Bates Lark and was born at Bethel, Pa., June 2, 1886. She married Mr. Grant Dec. 25, 1907.
Mr. Grant was an active church and lodge woman and was a member of the Covenant United Presbyterian Church of Sharon and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of that church. She was a past-worthy high priestess of the Shite Shrine of Jerusalem and a past worthy matron of Farrell Chapter 156, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a life member of both lodges.
Surviving are a son, Howard, of Sharon; a brother, John Lark, Hickory Twp.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A son, Freeman Grant, died in 1963.
