Richard "Dick" Lee Brinkman age 61 of Elk Mound, Died Tuesday April 22, 2008 at his home in the Township of Elk Mound, surrounded by his family and with the aid of Hospice. Dick was born June 11, 1946 in St. Cloud, Stearns County, Minnesota. He was the son of Lawrence and Ivy (Brown) Brinkman. As a youth he moved with his family to Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1964. Richard married Mary Jane Berger November 12, 1966. Dick worked for several years with his father at Brinkman's Auto Body in Menomonie. He then worked for Uniroyal in Eau Claire before Co-owning the Menomonie Napa Auto Parts Store. Richard then owned and operated the Napa Auto Parts Store in Colfax for a number of years and was most recently employed at Hutchinson Technology in Eau Claire until he retired. Dick is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Jean (Troy) Ayers of Mason; Julie (Anthony) Fox of Bloomer; three grandchildren, Bryant and Theresa Ayers and Grant Fox; two brothers, Marshall of Ino; Robert of Menomonie; a sister, Dorothy Yaeger of Chippewa Falls; He is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Monday April 28, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk Mound with Rev. Victor Inbaraj officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
