died Friday, Aug. 3, 1990,
at Scioto Memorial Hospital.
A Lawrence County, Ky., native,
she was born April 21,
1909, to the late Alfred and
Mary Sparks Skaggs. She attended
Garden City Free Will
Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband,
Ballard Hay, whom she
married June 5, 1925; a son,
Marvin "Coke"Hay of Farmington
Hills, Mich.; two daughters,
Juanita Ferguson and Thelma
Cole, both of Wheelersburg;
three granddaughters, whom
she reared, Carol Goffee of Lorain,
Janice Stamper of Wheelersburg
and Tammy Leazier of
South Amhurst; two sisters,
Plura Black of Huntington,
W.Va., and Helena Meadows of
New Boston; nine other grandchildren;
and 14 great-grandchildren.
Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at
the church, with the Rev.
Harold Black and the Rev.
Blaine Ettering officiating, and
interment in Memorial Burial
Park.
Friends may call at Brant Funeral
Home in Sciotoville from 2
to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m.
Monday and at the church one
hour before the service.
