Samuel G. Clay Sr., age 90, of Varina, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Evelyn Clay.
He is survived by his children, Lillian Cannada, Gloria Horvath and husband, Julius, Samuel G. Clay Jr. and Helen Wynn; eight grandhchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Newcomb of Keysville, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clay was a U.S. Marine Veteran and served in the South Pacific during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #233.
Interment Washington Memorial Park.
