Samuel is the son of
Robert and Elizabeth (Kerr) Morton of Ballytober, Bushmills, Northern Ireland.

Samuel (serial no: D/KX 132552) joined the Navy during WWII, , and died in Bengazie in 1942. He is commemorated on the Bushmills War Memorial, Bushmills, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, and on the Plymouth Naval War Memorial in England.

Sadly there are three brothers listed on the Bushmills War Memorial. Samuel and Albert who died during WWII and John who died during WWI.
