Blaine Parkin Call, 18, son of the late Chester Monroe and Amy Maud Parkin Call, died at 3 a. m. Monday at the L D S hospital of infantile paralysis.

Blaine left his home in Bountiful, Saturday, Oct. 6, with Wayman and Randall Reynolds for the home of his Uncle Israel Call which is 11 miles out of Idaho Falls where they had a contract to sack potatoes Wednesday morning of last week. When he arose he complained of a headache and returned to bed. He continued to get worse until Friday when they phoned the hospital at Idaho Falls for help. The interns could not leave the hospital unless it was imperative and from the symptoms reported, diagnosed the trouble to be possibly a cold and suggested remedies accordingly. However, he became steadily worse until midnight Friday when they decided to take him home. They placed him in an automobile arriving home in the morning. He became unconscious before they reached home and never regained consciousness.

The deceased was born March 7, 1916 in Bountiful where he lived practically all his life.

Surviving are his mother, six brothers and sisters, Otis Monroe, Chester, Beth, Madge, Vern and Frank Call and two grandfathers, Patriarch Israel Call and Joseph Parkin, senior.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with Bishop Burns in charge, on the lawn at the family home and interment took place in the Bountiful. The speakers were Captain Smith of the armory, J. A. Taylor and Bishop James E. Burns. Musical selections were by the Choir, Sunday school orchestra, violin duet by Eddie Reed and Earl Stacey, vocal solo by Earl Stacey, Opening prayer by Brigham C. Holbrook, benediction by George E. Garret of the bishopric, G. W. Graham was the undertaker in charge.
