Motorcycle racer. Jack Daniels was from Swansea, Wales, and was one of the leading Welsh riders of his day. In 1948 he won the Isle of Man Unlimited Clubman's TT race on a Vincent 998 and also won the Eppynt TT Silver Dragon Trophy. He was testing his Velocette racer at Cartersford, just west of Swansea, when his machine hit a hole in the road and he was thrown from the bike and struck a low tree branch. His 9yr old son witnessed the accident.
