Annette Amelia Pederson was born March 2, 1903 in a log cabin house on the family farm in Freeman Township, Rural McLeod, ND to Iver and Helene (Olson) Pederson. She grew up and attended local schools, and worked for various families in the city of Wyndmere. She and her husband, George, had been custodians at the Wyndmere Lutheran Church together.

Annette was united in marriage to George W. Vaughan on October 26, 1923 at her parental home in Freeman Township. The couple farmed several years in the Freeman Township area, and in 1941 moved to Wyndmere.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith, and was a member of Wyndmere Lutheran Church, had taken an active part in the Altar Guild and the Ladies Aid, and Circle in Wyndmere.

She had been a resident of Wahpeton Health Care Center, Leach Home, St. Francis Home, and then the WHCC all since around 1985. Annette is survived by her grand daughter, Denise (Daniel) Biewer, Wahpeton, ND; two grand sons, Brian (Char) Griffin, Battle Lake, MN, Vaughan (Wendy) Griffin, Dwight, ND; nine great grandchildren, Tanya (Michael) Mahoney, Fargo, ND, Chad Griffin, Kristi Griffin, both of Battle Lake, MN, Scott Biewer, Fargo, ND, Jenny (Mike) Fischer, Breckenridge, MN, Rachel Biewer, Wahpeton, ND, Joshua Griffin, Wade Griffin, Nathan Griffin, all of Dwight, ND, and one great-great grandson, Tyler, Wahpeton, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George W., August 16, 1990; daughter, Lorraine Griffin, February 27, 1971; four sisters, Anna, Randi, Pauline and Mary; and two brothers, Peder and her twin brother, Levi.
