His father & uncles came to the USA in the 1800's from Brettorf,Germany,he was the best grandpa a kid could ever have, and the greatest fan the Indy 500 ever had ,he attended his first race at the age of 11& never missed one. His last race he was able to attend was 1977..and as his Father& Uncles ,a wonderful carpender,an art brought with them from Germany. His favorite song was "SILENT NIGHT"..and was sang at his funeral in August,1977.He is greatly missed by his family & all who knew him.....A limb has fallen from our family tree
Keep hearing a voice that says "grieve not for me"
Remember the best times, the laughter the songs
The good life I lived where I was strong
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest
Remembering all how, I was truly blessed
Continue traditions, no matter how small
go on with your life, don't stare at the wall
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin
Until the day comes when we're together again...We love you Grandpa.
