Clarence H. Adams of Montrose died at 11:10 o'clock this morning, March 8, 1946, in St. Joseph hospital after having been a patient since Tuesday. He had been ill for the last ten days.
Born December 20, 1862 in Montrose, he was the son of Louis I. and Charlotte Curtis Adams and spent all of his life in and around Montrose. For some time he followed the occupation of farming but later was machinist at the American Fork and Hoe Co. at Montrose. He had been retired for a number of years.
On March 8, 1887 he married Maggie Lambert in Jefferson township. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1926.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church at Montrose and a trustee for a number of years. He was also a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are a son, Herbert Adams of Montrose and three grandchildren, Bill, June and C. E. Adams. He was the last member of his family.
Funeral services will be held from the Presbyterian church at Montrose at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be made in the Montrose cemetery.
