America Archer Anderson was the daughter of Jessie Kilgore Archer and Jane Sharp McDonald. Sister of Kilgore, John, Martha, George, William and Nancy Archer. She was the Granddaughter of Zachariah Archer who was a Veteran of the Penna. Rifle Reg in the Revolutionary War. - National Register of the society of the sons of the American Revolution. She was the wife of Civil War Veteran Captain James Waters Anderson. They were married 21 Oct 1860 in Clark Illinois. They were parents of Archer R & Charles H Anderson. She was about 73 yrs.

From the Marshall Herald on Wednesday Evening, January 12, 1916, page 1:

Death of Mrs. Anderson

Mrs. America Anderson, widow of James Anderson, and sister of John M Archer, of Marshall, died at her home in Denver, Colo., Saturday, after an illness of but a few hours. She was 69 years of age, and is survived by two sons. She moved away from Marshall about 25 years ago.
