Funeral services for Gonzalo P. Garcia, 59, of 244 E St. Frances, were to be held at 4 pm today at Immaculate Conception Cathedral with burial in the City Cemetery under the direction of Hinkley Mortuary. Graveside services were to be conducted by the local American Legion.

Garcia died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Houston.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Adelaida Garcia; a son, and Gonzalo P. Garcia Jr.; a daughter, Graciela Garcia, all of Brownsville; a brother, Adolfo Garcia of Mexico City; and a sister, Pilar Garcia of Brownsville.
