Son of Johann Freiderick Blauer & Elizabeth Graf Blauer. Married Rosetta Gerber 9 Dec 1891 in the Logan LDS temple, Cache, Utah.

Christian was born in Bern, Switzerland. At the age of 16 he worked as an apprentice in the gardens of Gottlieb Buscher of Altenberg. Two years later he visited his brother Albert (A painter, cobbler, watch maker & Shoemaker) in Loraine, France & worked in a garden there for 10 months. In 1882 he visited his sister Susanna in Paris (a traveling stenographer) working in the gardens of Le baron Bardadi Dollessert. There he was part of a Florist & Nurserymen club of 25 gardeners where he would play the accordion. He went back & forth from Bern to Paris working for Gottlieb Buchsor again & then in the garden of Chateau, Marienthal at Ingng Seine Oise near Paris. In 1886 visited Susanna who was now in New Zealand where he worked as a florist for Mr. Coulther of Petoue near Wellington. Then returned to France.

He left France for America to visit his father who had immigrated there. He married in 1891 & starting his family in Granger, Utah. In 1899 moved to Ogden to be the Gardner of the Deaf & Dumb School.

Christian became a US Citizen Spring of 1900 then moved to Lund, Idaho.

He went on a mission for the LDS Church in 1926 to Germany & Switzerland having the chance to meet up with his brother August, other relatives including some of his wife's family. He returned home in 1928.

During Christmas he would play the accordion while the children sang & danced around the Christmas tree. He had a bass voice & boy could he yodel!

He & his wife moved to River Heights, Utah Apr. 1933 working in the temple.
