Ellen Jean Ziegelbauer, age 67, of Malone, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 16, 1947 in Appleton, the daughter of late Clifford and Alvina (Janty) Carney.

On April 15, 1978, she married Michael A. Ziegelbauer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge, Wisconsin.

Ellen enjoyed gambling, traveling, playing cards, and enjoying time with her great nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Jessica; and son, Jason; sister, Trish (George) Lein; brother, Gary (Kathy) Carney; seven sisters-in-law, Martha Ziegelbauer, Mary (Jim) Rose, Monica (Dennis) Halbach, Mae Binotto, Joan (Dan) Buechel, Julie (Dan) Aylesworth, Vicky (Jim) Schmidlkofer; six brothers-in-law, Paul (Jenny) Ziegelbauer, Peter (Joan) Ziegelbauer, John (Kathy) Ziegelbauer, Frank Ziegelbauer, Jim Ziegelbauer, Mark (Jana) Ziegelbauer; and many nieces, nephews, god children, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford & Alvina Carney; her son, Kyle Ziegelbauer; her in-laws, Orville and Rosaline Ziegelbauer; her brother-in-law, Thomas Ziegelbauer; and her nephew, Kevin Binotto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, N9288 County Road W Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Rev. Joseph Coerber will officiate. Following traditional services, Inurment will take place in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave. New Holstein WI 53061 on Monday, November 10, 2014, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St. John's Church Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM Monday evening at the funeral home in New Holstein.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Agnes ICU and the staff of Hospice Home of Hope for the care and compassion shown to Ellen.
