Gr-Uncle Chet and Jeanette divorced around 1938, and Gr-Uncle Chet lived for about 2 years on the farm with my Grandpa and Grandma Steinberger during the time of the divorce.
Gr-Uncle Chet built machines for the F. Lee Bailey Company in Springfield, Ohio. He was good at making things with his hands. Once Gr-Uncle Chet made Uncle Jack, the brother of my mother, a beautiful music stand to place his music sheets while he played the saxophone. He was a very disciplined individual. He enjoyed cars and racing, and he was known to lose his discipline if he got the chance to drive his car fast. He also owned land up in Gould City, Michigan close to the Beaver Bay Resort and enjoyed fishing on the lake.
In 1971 Gr-Uncle Chet committed suicide, likely from loneliness and great losses he never could quite overcome within his heart.
Gr-Uncle Chet is loved and remembered by the family to this day.

May Uncle Chet ever rest in the peace of God.
