Clifford R. Stout was born on October 31, 1946 to G. Clifford and Carolyn Golden Stout. His home of record is Trenton, NJ. Clifford attended Lawrence Junior High School and Trenton Central High School in 1965 where he enjoyed doing stage work for the school's theater program. After graduation, he was employed by the Mosquera Roofing Company in Ewing Township.
He enlisted in the US Army in 1966 and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC) with the First Cavalry Division.
Stout was killed in action on November 21, 1966. He was survived by his parents and grandmother. He is buried at Harbourtown Cemetery.
Outside Lawrence Junior High School, there is a marker honoring Clifford "Kip" Stout and his classmate, Douglas Dickerson.
