Noble, Ray, 73, of Shreveport, died Wednesday; services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street, Shreveport; burial in Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Ray Noble, 73, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Mike McGee and Rev. Lynn Foster. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd., Bossier City, LA. There will be a visitation on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ray was born on March 10, 1941 in Bright Star, AR to Oscar and Susan Noble and passed away on May 21, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Norma Jean Noble, his four brothers and one sister. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Terrie Sullivan and husband, Chris of Frierson, LA; Kimberly Noble of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Brandy Clayton, Candy Kelly, Travis Armstrong, Jeannie Smith and Shayla Underwood; brother, John Noble of Blanchard, LA; sisters, Claudine Johnson and husband, Boyce of Texarkana, TX; Norma Greene of Atlanta, TX; Bettye Bryce and husband, Don of Texarkana, TX; Opal Teague and husband, Bill of Atlanta, TX; and his twin sister, Faye Clayton of Atlanta, TX; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray was a veteran of the US Army and fought in the Korean War. He was a member of the 40&8 Club in Shreveport and the Teamsters 568. He retired as a Truck Driver. Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed.

Honoring Ray as pallbearers will be Neal Armstrong, Travis Armstrong, Chris Clayton, Shaun Kelly, James Scroggins, Chris Smith, Chris Sullivan and Rick Willhite.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff on 6N at Overton-Brooks VA Hospital and 7K and SICU at University Health Sciences Center for all the care and kindness they gave to Ray and his family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Foundation at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. or to the charity of your choice.
