Rites Held for A. J. Burgess, 65
Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Burgess, 65, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Phillips & Luckey Chapel with the Rev. Buck Hillin of Rockdale officiating. Burial was in the Harmony Cemetery.
Mr. Burgess died Thursday about 6 a.m. at Richards clinic & Hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1901 in Milam County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Burgess. He had lived on Route 2, Rockdale, for the past 3 years.
Survivors include a brother, John Harvey Burgess, and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Jenkins and Mrs. H. C. Rauls of Rockdale.
