Lenora Phillips Felton, 80, went home to be with the Lord September 22, 2005 in her home in the 2400 block of Carnation Ln. A native of Norfolk County, she was the widow of the late Rev. Dr. Hilton C. Felton, Sr.

She was a retired ER nurse of the former Norfolk General Hospital for 15 years. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and an affiliate of the Tidewater Minister’s Wives Alliance, Clark’s Nursing Club and the Order of the Eastern Star, Elizabeth Chap. No. 34.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Felton was predeceased by her biological parents, Robert and Nora Granby Phillips, mother, Maud Banks and sisters, Mittie E. Demby and Elouise B. Lawton.

Survivors include five sons, Hilton C. Felton, Jr. (Imelda) of Washington, DC, Rev. Dr. Leonard R. Felton (Lisa) of Ellicott City, MD, Rev. Christopher L. Felton, Sr. (Ilonka) of Sterling, VA, Rev. Alphonso L. Felton (Anne) of Chesapeake, Robert P. Felton, I (Latravia) of Stone Mountain, GA; two daughters, Min. Judy A. Sizemore (Rev. Charles) of Chesapeake, Cynthia I. Pierce (Elle) of Olmsted Falls, OH; a goddaughter, Pauletta Carrington of Norfolk; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Phillips, Willie Earl Phillips (Helen) both of Egg Harbor, NJ and Rev. Howard Lee Phillips (Rev. Jeanette) of Peekskill, NY; sister-in-law, Mildred F. Hoggard of Chesapeake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
