George F. "Pee Wee" Adams, 58, Vincennes, passed away at 10:53 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 27, 1952, the son of Robert Sr. and Lois Ruth (Haaf) Adams. He was a member of the Moose, SLFC and formerly attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was involved in various farming activities and drove a truck. He served his country in the Army, of which he was proud of his service.

He is survived by his children, Debra Arnold and her husband, Douglas, of Sullivan, Amy Rumer of Vincennes and Danny Adams of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Hallie Arnold, Ethyn Arnold, Addison Arnold, Kenlee Rumer and Dylan Rumer; his sisters, Rose Anna Russler and her husband, Robin, of Reedsville, Pa., Delores Faulkenburg and her husband, Michael, of Minot, N.D., and Nancy Pinnick of Lawrenceville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Arnold; his parents; a brother, Robert Adams Jr.; and a sister, Mona McCrary.

A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. today at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest next to his sister in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the All Weather Firing Squad. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Good Samaritan Hospice or to the SL.
