Mary, a native of Austria, married Bill Wackerman of Sea Cliff, Long Island in 1912. It was in Sea Cliff that Mary & Bill made their home, raising their three children, Philip Henry born 1913, Marion b. 1918 & John Jacob b. 1919. Bill worked at what is now called Brookhaven National Labs.
Mary passed away suddenly of a heart attack while visiting her son John, a Vermont State politician, and his family.
