John Albert Kramer, son of Paul and Sophia (Belrichard) Kramer was born in Eastman, WI. on August 29, 1865 and departed from this life on January 16, 1936 at the Prairie du Chien San Hospital.
On March 1, 1897 he was united in marriage to Lillie Rose Oswald. To this union two children were born; a son Irvin and a daughter Nellie. Nellie passed away February 27, 1908 at the age of 10 and his wife Lillie passed away on March 27, 1900.
Only three brief years of wedded life did Mr. and Mrs. Kramer share. The passing of his companion left Mr. Kramer with the care of two infant children. Relatives were very kind in giving a helping hand. It was an added burden when his daughter, just in the bloom of youth, was taken to be with the Lord.
The Evangelical Church of Eastman was his church of which he was a charter member. He gave a plot of land from his farm for the former location of the Evangelical Church at Hazen's Corners.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his son Irvin and two grandchildren; Russell and Elaine. He also leaves behind 6 brothers; C. Eli, Louis, Julius, Hubert, Edward and Harry Kramer and 5 sisters;
Emily Thomas, Lydia Schwert, Adeline Larson, Laura South and Virginia Wade.
