MALEC – Susan L., 52, Johnstown, died Oct. 9, 2013, at her residence. Born March 30, 1961, in Johnstown, daughter of Richard J. and Mary (Blasko) Malec. Preceded in death by her father. Survived by her mother; sister, Patti, wife of Matthew Leitenberger, Miamisburg, Ohio; and special friend, David Druzak Jr. Also survived by former husband, Richard Pyne. Susan was employed as an LPN at Laurel View Village, Davidsville, and formerly employed at Conemaugh Hospital and Lee Hospital. She graduated from Vo-Tech, where she earned her degree as an LPN. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and loved her two black Labs, Raven and Gabby. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Parish, Father Alan Thomas, officiating. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 231 Bedford St., Johnstown, Pa. 15901, or Resurrection Parish in memory of Susan.
