Harold was united in marriage on April 9, 1960 in Yorkville, IL, to the former Sharon Albright and they spent the next 40 happy years of their lives together, until her passing on October 1, 2000. Mr. Johnson was employed, for many years, as a Shipping Clerk at Plano Molding. He was also, for several years, a member of the Yorkville Moose Lodge. Harold was an avid bowler and a long time fan of both the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his mother, Florence Johnson, of Yorkville, IL; his children, Lorrie Johnson of Aurora, IL, Harold Wayne (Lauri) Johnson, Jr., of Yorkville, IL and Michael (Claire) Johnson, of Rollo, IL; his grandchildren, Jamie Johnson, Beth Kekko, Jill Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Star (Joe) Cheshire, Jay Johnson, Michael and Tara Johnson; his great-grandchildren, Destini and Brendon Schweickert, Angel Cheshire and Shailey Mathis; one brother, Herman E. (Jean) Johnson, of Yorkville, IL; one sister, Betty Dotson, of Yorkville, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Johnson; his wife, Sharon Johnson; his son, Patrick Johnson; two brothers, David and Howard Johnson; and one sister, Barbara Kahle.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2005, at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, in Yorkville, IL, with Pastor David Kaul officiating. Interment will follow in the Millington-Newark Cemetery, Millington, IL.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL.
