Hall "Bill" Wilson Bigham, 88, SFC, Retired, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at McGuire Veterans Hospital. He was the son of the late Baxter F. Bigham, Sr. & Ella Hancock Bigham. Bill served his country distinctively for over 23 years, in The United States Army Infantry.. He was a member of American Legion Post # 2, the VFW, the DAV, and the Sportsman Hunt Club in Ford, VA. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris R. Bigham; a special sister-in-law, Ingrid Lehmann and her family in Germany; sisters, Sarah Pauline Moser of Mooresville, NC, Lucy Pigg of Monroe, NC, and Judy Pressley of Wingate, NC.; brothers, Baxter F. Bigham, Jr. of Tucson AZ, James Bigham of Browns Mills, NJ, George Bigham of Waxhaw, NC, and Jack Neal Bigham of Chesterfield, VA; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Friday November 9, 2012, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be mailed to the DAV P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, Ohio 14301 or www.DAV.org and Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
